There are two default color schemes you can choose to start with: Light or Dark scheme. You can customize the color of any those those schemes to make it more blend to your website colors.
Each module in JNews, including Carousel has a smart feature to adapt to the size of the current column you put them into. The module design will be automatically arranged to fit with the width of the column. Some module will look totally different on different column size.
