Link Attribute Checker
Inspect link destinations, anchor text, targets, and rel attributes from HTML. Identify sponsored or user-generated links and review practical fixes locally.
Link HTML workspaceNo requests to destinations
Used only to resolve relative destinations and compare origins. This field does not load the page. A supplied base href takes precedence for resolution; internal/external classification still uses the original page URL.
Up to 2 MB, 25,000 elements, and 2,000 anchors. Pasted scripts, styles, images, and frames are never run or loaded. Click Analyze or use Ctrl/Cmd + Enter.
Leave blank for all HTML anchors. Use article, .entry-content, or #content to focus on content. Repeated destinations remain separate rows so each placement can be reviewed.
Ready. Paste HTML or open a local UTF-8 file.
Set a context per link to assess paid or user-generated placements. Context is your input; the tool cannot infer commercial relationships from a URL. These choices change the report only and never edit your HTML. Ordinary external links need no special rel value.

Review links in your WordPress content
Paste the published article HTML to check how Gutenberg blocks, Gutenverse elements, JNews templates, and affiliate plugins output links. Use a content selector to focus on article links or inspect the complete HTML for menus and footer links. Change the original block or template after reviewing the findings.
Which rel values are needed?
Regular links do not need a rel attribute. Google prefers sponsored for paid placements and accepts nofollow; ugc describes user-generated links. Noreferrer controls referrer information and does not replace these SEO qualifications. Modern target="_blank" links imply noopener; missing explicit noopener alone is not an error.
What can this HTML check establish?
It checks supplied HTML anchors, URL syntax, limited link-name clues, fragment targets, declared attributes, and your selected link contexts. A missing fragment target may be outside a pasted section. Internal means the same origin (scheme, hostname, and port), not every subdomain of a site. A base href resolves URLs but does not change the original page origin.
This tool makes no requests to supplied URLs and cannot verify HTTP status, redirects, broken destinations, crawlability, indexing, or links inserted by scripts. It excludes template/noscript contents, SVG links, image maps, and CSS-dependent behavior. Link names are limited static estimates, not a full accessible-name calculation. Anchor wording and commercial relationships need human review.
Everything is processed locally. No HTML or report is uploaded or saved in browser storage. CSV exports include the filtered results across all pages and your context choices.
