HTML SEO Checker

Inspect supplied HTML for page metadata, canonical and robots declarations, heading structure, image alt text, and link attributes. No crawling or uploads.

Inspect your HTML

Paste page source or open a local UTF-8 HTML file. Checks update automatically.

Used only to resolve relative URLs and classify links. A supplied <base href> takes precedence. Nothing is fetched.

Up to 100,000 source characters, 10,000 HTML elements and 2,000 extracted passages. Fragments can be checked, but missing metadata may simply be outside the supplied fragment.

Interpret the report in context

Start with factual problems such as empty or conflicting declarations, then review editorial and accessibility notes. A noindex directive may be intentional; decorative images may use empty alt text; ordinary links do not need nofollow.

What does this tool not verify?

It cannot check live rankings, indexing, URL availability, HTTP status, redirects, HTTP-header directives, image accessibility, or content produced by scripts. It does not validate all HTML syntax. Browser parsing may repair malformed markup. CSS-dependent visibility and placement in the original document head are not verified.

Is pasted HTML safe to inspect?

HTML is parsed in an inert template that is never attached to the page. User scripts, styles, images, frames, and other embedded resources cannot execute or load. Results use text-only rendering. Files, URL resolution, analysis and exports run locally, without processing requests or browser storage.
